How to switch arrows in Dark Souls 3

This article will be about how to switch arrows in Dark Souls 3. There are many different types of arrows in the game, and some need to be unlocked by certain events. This guide will show you how to do that.

The first step is to find the required arrow type and give it to the NPC, except for Blessed Shards which can be farmed from a crow. The NPC will ask you for a gift in return and you have to accept it. However, if you want to keep all of your valuable items then just drop something valuable on the ground that they won’t take because sometimes they don’t accept anything at all. If they accept your gift and if you have already slain their brethren, then they will give you one of the required arrow types in return for killing them.

Next, you need to equip the bow and arrow of your choice. Equip the crossbow if you want Blessed Shards, and any other type for standard, Fire or Poison Arrows. Press a to switch arrows and you will equip the required arrow type instead of your default one. It’s that easy!

Press R1 or L1 to aim at a target . There are two stances, the “Standard Stance” and the “Steady Hand Stance”. The latter has further zoom on your targeting reticle.

To shoot the arrow you need to hold down or press R2 for a few seconds or until it starts trembling, then release. If you have equipped power shot in your settings it will be stronger. If you’re using a standard bow, then this won’t affect your damage but will drain more stamina.

You can also hold down R2 to charge the arrow for an even stronger shot. This is not recommended if you are in quick combat or in dire need of stamina because it drains too much stamina and leaves you vulnerable unless you have a decent shield.

There is also the option to shoot the arrow from your “Backstep” or “Backlash” stance, which can be used while running away from opponents during combat. To do this hold down L2 and press a while holding it . You should equip power shot in settings for this to deal extra damage.

Press Square/X to fire an arrow with the selected type of head on it . This can be used for taking down shields and dealing damage to enemies. If you still haven’t unlocked this then simply drop a valuable item on the ground and increase your gift giving rank with Villagers until they give you one. If it’s locked and if you want to open it , give gifts until they stop accepting them so that they revert back to their default dialogue and then – finally! – accept the gift they give you after trying to refuse it. That should open up the option to unlock this skill.

If you want to switch arrows back, simply repeat steps 1-4 but choose a different kind of head for your shot.

Press R1 or L1 to aim at a target . There are two stances, the “Standard Stance” and the “Steady Hand Stance”. The latter has further zoom on your targeting reticle.

Press R2 to shoot an arrow with your current type of head attached . This is good for taking down shields but you have to be close for it to work.

You can also change arrows by using quiver types in New Game+ mode without having to go through all these steps again!
